Galloway Footwear Ltd is a handmade footwear company
based at The Clog and Shoe Workshop in Balmaclellan. It is the last place in Scotland, and one of
the last in the UK, where traditional clogs are made.
With over twenty styles of footwear to choose from,
ranging from traditional and modern styles of clogs to various sandals and
boots, The Clog and Shoe Workshop is well worth a visit.
There is a small museum section displaying Godfrey's
collection of hisoric and international footwear which he has collected over
the 30 years he has been working as a shoe maker.
From the showroom, you can look through to the workshop
where all the footwear is made, the walls lined with lasts and various
traditional shoe-making equipment, and even, if you're lucky, get to see
Godfrey at work.
