Glenkens Business Directory
The Glenkens Business Directory was the first project undertaken by the Glenkens Business Association. This project, the first of its type ever undertaken in the region, involved the committee in compiling a database of all businesses with the Glenkens. Over 200 businesses were identified.
There followed a period of the committee contacting every business to introduce the GBA and put together a list of the businesses who wished to join the GBA and appear in the directory.
After many weeks of work the Directory was finally compiled, printed and distributed throughout the area by members of the committee.
The Directory has proved to be a valuable source of information to the residents of the Glenkens, visitors to the area and the businesses themselves. It also helped put the GBA on the map in terms of being able to deliver on its promises.
The whole process will soon be repeated - so look out for further information on the 2008 Business Directory and make sure your business is included.
