Golfers are well catered for in the Glenkens with our own challenging 9 hole course at New Galloway. Many of the hotels offer golf break packages allowing the visitor to enjoy a wide variety of differing local courses.

From parkland to links there is something for everyone, no matter what your handicap is. In nearby Tongland there are also golf practice range facilities for the fair-weather golfer.

New Galloway Golf Club is easily accessible by road from the A713 Castle Douglas – Ayr road turning left at the Ken Bridge Hotel and New Galloway Golf course is a mile through the village.

The course climbs steeply for the first two holes form the clubhouse to a more open parkland terrain, and once you are a the third tee the course will test all players of every standard with its natural hazards.

The added bonus is the beautiful views of the rolling Galloway hillsides and wildlife.
