Location
Situated north of Castle Douglas on the eastern fringes of the Galloway Forest Park in south west Scotland, this unique area covering the Ken Valley consists of the small scenic villages of Balmaclellan, Carsphairn, New Galloway, St.Johns Town of Dalry, Parton and Corsock .
The area of the Glenkens begins at Parton just 6 miles north of Castle Douglas and stretches throughout the length of the Ken Valley surrounding Loch Ken and the Water of Ken to Carsphairn just 24 miles south of Ayr.
